Golden Bird Home Health Care is Joint Commission Certified. The Joint Commission is the Nation's oldest and largest standard setting accrediting body in health care. Golden Bird is also medicare and medical certified, which typically fully covers in-home health care services.
We also accept private insurance, other forms of reimbursement for services, and unfunded patients. At Golden Bird we are dedicated to helping our patients receive the best and most cost-effective care possible, which is why we work with many insurance companies and policies.
Hospice & Palliative Care
As Medicare and Medi-Cal programs offer full coverage for hospice services, there is often no out-of-pocket expense to patients or their families. Hospice coverage includes all equipment, medication, and supplies related to the diagnosis.
A patient retains full Medicare coverage for any healthcare needs unrelated to the terminal diagnosis. In these instances, the patient will continue to pay the applicable deductible and co-insurance amounts.
Home Health
Home health is usually at least partially covered by many medical insurance policies, including those through Medicare, Medi-Cal, commercial insurance, and worker’s compensation. The coverage and cost are dependent on the actual policy, and a co-pay or premium may be required.
Home Care
Home care is privately funded and paid out-of-pocket by the patient or their family. However, there are some additional insurance policies (such as long-term care insurance) that do cover home care services.
